The Early Music PlayersThe Early Music Players have been performing Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music since 1972, delighting listeners throughout the New York metropolitan area, from The 92nd Street Y, St. Bartholomew's Great Music Series, and Music at St. Peter's in Morristown to housewarmings and weddings. They have been featured on WNET Channel 13, on New Jersey Network's "State of the Arts," and have recorded for Macmillan / McGraw-Hill educational recordings. Kristine Lamb also performs with Rosetta (Celtic and Spanish music), the Dolce Trio (chamber music), Four Potato Stew (a contradance band), and the Eclectic Consort (a bit of everything). She organized and directed the Susquehanna University Early Music Consort, was associate director of the Somerset Early Music Society, has taught flute at the College of St. Elizabeth, and has appeared as a guest artist on several folk music recordings Phoebe Larkey is a founding member of the Early Music Players. During a seven-year stay in Birmingham, AL, she helped found PanHarmonium, an ensemble also specializing in early music. Ms. Larkey has performed with the Mannes College Camerata and Musica Amabile of New York City. She is a certified teacher of the American Recorder Society. Jean Seiler has a B.A. from Oberlin College, where she was a member of the Oberlin Collegium Musicum. She is a founder and former director of the Corinth Consort in Corinth, MS. M. Seiler is on the editorial staff of several early music journals. Anne Yardley has a B.A. from Whitman College and a Ph.D. in music history from Columbia University, where she was a member of the Columbia Collegium Musicum. She served on the faculty of the University of Illinois and has published her research on music in Medieval nunneries in the anthology Women Making Music. Dr. Yardley teaches music history and church music at Drew University, Madison, NJ. She also directs the Girl's Choir at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown, NJ.
