Katherine Baker

Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Katie has been involved in music making since as far back as she can remember. She began playing violin at the age of four and has just recently celebrated 18 years of study by receiving her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory. Her songwriting varies from folk, to contemporary, to electronica. Katie enjoys experimenting with pop song writing technique and feels that it is just as much a part of her as violin. In her view, classical and pop are equally expressive means of communication. She is thankful to digitalphono and a2b music for giving her this opportunity to share her music with the world. She invites you to, "just listen."
